Extended Schools
Langfield Primary school has been awarded Extended Schools funding since 2007. Extended Schools funding is provided by the Department of Education to schools in socially deprived areas. Activities paid for by extended schools are diverse, but must be linked to the Key Outcomes Framework for children, which is linked to the government's ten year strategy for children and young people in Northern Ireland. Activities may include programmes for children, parents and the wider community. The focus is always to support the learning, health, lifestyle and creativity of the whole school community.
